James Harding is currently a freelance writer, consultant and teacher. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree at California State University, Los Angeles. He is a graduate of the prestigious California POST Command College. His work experience includes ranch hand, factory worker, soldier, various law enforcement positions, private business manager, government advisor, and instructor. His public service experience spans over 36 years; 31 of those years were invested in local policing, working every rank and position from patrolman to Chief of Police. In each public service position he has served either officially or voluntarily as a community advisor, consultant, or mentor in at-risk youth advising, political corruption investigations, community rebuilding, and preparing individuals for employment or further education. He is an avid outdoors athlete competent in surfing, hiking, and biking.
