Menlo College offers students 12 different fields of study. Every program is built on a strong foundation of liberal arts courses that are structured to help our graduates hone critical-thinking skills, communicate effectively, and understand a wide range of subjects, including literature, history, and economics. The programs are all greatly enhanced by the outstanding scholars who make up our faculty, each teaching and mentoring.

Business students are required to complete a six-credit-hour internship, either full time during the summer between their junior and senior years or part time during their senior year, to further link the classroom to the real world.

Menlo’s ideal location on a beautiful campus in the San Francisco Bay Area is perfect for the college experience. Our campus is located in the lush, green community of Atherton, minutes from the bookstores, coffeehouses, and restaurants of Menlo Park and Palo Alto. We are in the middle of Silicon Valley, center of the high-tech world economy and home to legendary corporations such as Google, Facebook, Apple, LinkedIn, and eBay. We are also only 30 miles from San Francisco and a short distance from Pacific Ocean beaches and San Jose. Nearby attractions include Yosemite National Park, world-class Lake Tahoe ski resorts, and the famous regions of Central Coast, Napa, and Sonoma.

Menlo offers an opportunity to meet others, develop collaborative skills, and pursue personal interests. We have dozens of clubs as well as an outstanding athletic program and active student government.

Applying to Menlo
Menlo College welcomes applications from both domestic and international students.

Priority status is given to students who complete their applications by the Early Action or priority deadlines.
To be considered for admission to Menlo College, please submit the following with your application:
• $40 application fee
• Official high school and/or college transcripts
• Official SAT or ACT scores (domestic freshmen only)
• TOEFL or IELTS (international students only)
• Personal essay
• Letter of recommendation from a teacher or counselor (domestic and international freshmen only)

Shortly after receipt of all of the above materials, the Menlo College admission committee will review and evaluate your application then quickly notify you of the final decision. Personal attention is a way of life at Menlo College, and it begins with the admission process.

Financial aid and scholarships
Menlo is committed to making our outstanding education affordable for both U.S. and international students. Merit scholarships are awarded based on a student’s prior academic performance. Generally students retain their merit scholarships throughout their time at Menlo College.
In addition, Menlo offers need-based aid to eligible students, consisting of grants, low-interest loans, and on-campus employment opportunities (including federal work-study). Over 95% of our students receive some form of financial assistance through institutional, state, and federal funds.
