“The power of Wilson is our ability to place students at the center of the lesson-planning process. This process allows us to create a learning environment that challenges our students, encourages them to participate, and inspires their growth in and out of the classroom.”
— Professor Lynn Newman, Education
Wilson College and you
Wilson College is growing. We’re growing because of the personal learning environment we provide and the value and affordability our students find both during their time on campus and after graduation. Rated as a “best value” by U.S. News & World Report, Wilson connects career-oriented majors with the liberal arts, providing graduates with the kind of educational foundation today’s employers are seeking.
An investment in your future
Wilson College is committed to providing our students and their families with an affordable education that offers real value. From holding tuition without an increase for the last six years—even lowering it by 17% in fall 2014—to offering a four-year career development program, we are committed to helping you achieve your goals.
More than 90% of Wilson students receive some form of financial aid, and we offer a first-of-its-kind student loan buyback program that allows students to earn up to $10,000 toward their federal student loan.
The classroom at Wilson is a special place. It’s where you forge relationships with professors who work with you to reach your goals—and maybe even push you further than you thought you could go.
Wilson is known for the quality of its faculty and academic programs, for offering career-oriented options from a wide variety of disciplines, and for creating a student-focused environment. With small class sizes and an 11:1 student-faculty ratio, a Wilson liberal arts education is about you. With 31 majors and 41 minors, you’ll find a wide range of options to choose from.
Satisfy your interests outside the classroom with more than 30 student-run clubs and activities. Wilson also offers a number of leadership opportunities, including the new Phoenix Leaders Program, which teaches students how to effectively guide organizations and people. If sports are your outlet, then we’ve got your team—Wilson fields nine NCAA D-III teams split between men and women. So whether it’s varsity sports or other athletic pursuits you are looking for, Wilson offers each student opportunities to participate.
Wilson’s historic 300-acre campus is located in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, and offers a variety of stores, restaurants, and services—both national chains and independent—within walking distance of campus. We sit only 90 minutes from the nation’s capital, and it’s an easy day trip to Philadelphia and New York City, all of which adds to the educational and internship opportunities Wilson students enjoy.
