There is a world of possibilities at Gannon University—the possibilities that are within you. You will learn here, form lifelong friendships here, and grow here, because at Gannon, it’s within your reach. Our hands-on, real-world, faith-inspired, success-driven academics are what make a Gannon education stand out. Here we help make your desired college experience possible. It’s what happens when you believe.

Inspiring academic success
Gannon offers over 60 undergraduate degrees, most of which integrate hands-on experience outside of the classroom through the Morosky College of Health Professions and Sciences; the College of Humanities, Education, and Social Sciences; and the College of Engineering and Business.

The Humanities and Social Science programs at Gannon offer a broad range of majors, from Advertising Communication to Social Work. A new School of Communication and the Arts co-locates and integrates current and emerging programs in Human Communication Studies, Media Studies, and the Digital and Performing Arts. For students in the Criminal Justice program, a new Forensic Investigation Center looks like a family dwelling but is really a working laboratory where students practice the skills they’ve learned in the classroom to find evidence and solve crimes. Education majors participate in three to five field experiences as early as their second semester. These experiences complement the teaching strategies shared in the classroom.

The Dahlkemper School of Business Administration at Gannon offers some of the most unique programs in the region, such as Entrepreneurship and Risk Management. New programs in Health Care Management and Supply Chain Management are now offered. Undergraduate Business students can remain at Gannon to complete their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with just one extra year of study.

A landmark office building in the heart of Erie’s central business district has been transformed into a Center for Business Ingenuity that co-locates the Dahlkemper School of Business Administration, the Small Business Development Center (SBDC), and the Erie Technology Incubator (ETI), creating a setting for collaboration between regional businesses and University students and faculty.

If your career interest lies in health care, Gannon offers degrees in several of the most sought-after professions in the industry. For students interested in becoming a physician assistant or an occupational therapist, Gannon offers five-year direct-entry master’s degree programs in both areas. Undergraduate Physical Therapy students can remain at Gannon to obtain a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree—a program that currently boasts a 100% job placement rate. Gannon also offers a 3+3 accelerated Doctor of Physical Therapy, allowing students to earn a degree in six years rather than seven.

Gannon offers degree programs in some unique areas: Respiratory Care, Radiologic Sciences, Sport and Exercise Science, Nutrition and Human Performance, and Public Health. The Robert H. Morosky Academic Center has the latest in classrooms and labs and includes a state-of-the-art Patient Simulation Center. In addition to health care options, students may major in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Forensic Science, Freshwater and Marine Biology, Mathematics, Medical Technology, and Science. Gannon has a tremendous success rate of students progressing to graduate and professional schools such as dental, medical, pharmacy, and veterinary school.

Because of Gannon’s strong ties with regional industry, students who attend Gannon and major in one of our engineering fields have the opportunity to work on research and solutions for real design and manufacturing challenges through internships and co-op placements. Gannon’s programs in Biomedical, Electrical, Environmental, and Mechanical Engineering are approved by the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET). Gannon also offers a Computer Software concentration in Electrical Engineering. Industrial Engineering and Biomedical Engineering are Gannon’s newest engineering programs located in the new Center for Advanced Engineering, opened in 2015.

The Computer and Information Science Department at Gannon offers a wide variety of programming environments and application software. Gannon also houses one of the largest educational computer facilities in the area.

Seeing is believing
We encourage students to visit the campus community and meet with an admissions representative and faculty member, as well as take a personal tour with a Gannon student. To schedule a campus visit, go to gannon.edu/visit.
