Major choices
At Saint Francis University, we believe you can achieve anything you set your mind to. Having a host of high-demand majors to choose from will help you get there. Our students choose from over 50 majors in four academic schools: the School of Arts and Letters, School of Business, School of Health Science, and School of Science. With numerous minors and concentrations to complement your academic major, there is no doubt students will graduate prepared for not just their first job but their career. 

A tradition of excellence in sports
For participants as well as spectators, athletics are popular at Saint Francis University. We offer 23 NCAA Division I intercollegiate sports—nine for men and 14 for women. Saint Francis University ranks nationally, with 14 Academic All-Americans recognized during the past six years. You can also get involved in our extensive student-organized intramural program, which includes individual, team, and coeducational sports.

Western Pennsylvania continually amazes people for being one of the friendliest and most beautiful places in the country. Among our own 600 acres, you can enjoy several hiking and biking trails, a lake, a nature trail, and a nine-hole championship golf course in your own backyard! Looking for even more adventure? Location
Located in the heart of the Allegheny Mountains of Pennsylvania on 600 wooded acres, the scenic campus is just half an hour from the cities of Altoona and Johnstown and less than two hours from the city of Pittsburgh. 

Overview
Saint Francis University is a private, Catholic Franciscan, coeducational institution founded in 1847 by six friars from Ireland. The University offers accredited undergraduate and graduate education within the context of a liberal arts foundation. The student experience places particular emphasis on developing individuals who will lead or serve with character in their chosen professions and communities. 

Enrollment
The diverse student body consists of approximately 1,800 undergraduate and 2,400 total students. 

Student-faculty ratio
A 15:1 student-faculty ratio assures personal attention, with more than 100 full-time professors, 79% of whom hold doctoral or terminal degrees. 

Facilities
The 23-building campus features 10 residence halls and an athletics center that houses a pool, a fully equipped weight room, and courts for basketball, volleyball, and racquetball. An outdoor athletic complex features a multipurpose, artificially surfaced field and all-weather track. Recent building projects include the DiSepio Institute for Rural Health and Wellness, housing 4,500 square feet of fitness space, and a state-of-the-art Science Center. 

Student organizations
Students can become involved with more than 75 clubs and organizations and attend year-round activities such as film series, lectures, concerts, and theater productions. 

Athletics
Our intercollegiate athletics program features 23 NCAA Division I sports for men (nine) and women (14), as well as a popular intramural program and club baseball. 

Class size
Averaging just 22 students, all classes are taught by faculty members.
