A recognized center of intellectual and creative activity, we offer 48 graduate programs in nursing, public health, social work, education, business, psychology, and the arts and sciences.

Our main campus is a 75-acre registered arboretum in suburban Garden City, New York. Small class sizes allow for individualized attention from our engaged, accessible faculty. Internships, field placements, and the many professional, cultural, and recreational opportunities throughout Long Island as well as New York City—a mere 23 miles away—help you achieve your goals.

We know graduate students are looking for flexibility and convenience. That’s why we offer courses at four locations in Manhattan, Suffolk County, and Hudson Valley, and also in online or hybrid formats.

At Adelphi, you will make valuable connections and enhance your professional network with our community of more than 90,000 alumni.

Adelphi University first opened its doors in 1896 as the first liberal arts institution of higher education on Long Island. Today our world-class facilities include a newly renovated Swirbul Library with digital classrooms, modern laboratories for the sciences, the Center for Recreation and Sports, and the Performing Arts Center. And we’re focused on the future: the new Nexus Building and Welcome Center—slated for completion in 2015—will house the College of Nursing and Public Health and offices for numerous campus resources.

Our accolades speak for themselves: we’ve been named a Best College in the Northeast by The Princeton Review, a Forbes magazine Top College, and a “best buy” by the Fiske Guide to Colleges for the tenth year in a row. Our graduate programs provide students with the skills necessary to be successful in their chosen fields.
