It is an exciting time for graduate study at Quinnipiac University. Named the top “Up-and-Coming University in the North Region” by U.S.News & World Report, Quinnipiac continues to grow as a great place for innovative graduate education and professional preparation.

Located 90 minutes from New York City and two hours from Boston, Quinnipiac is situated among the hills and woodlands of southern Connecticut, just outside of New Haven, one of the region’s most dynamic centers for arts and culture. The University enrolls more than 2,500 graduate students, who join a welcoming community of professional peers and faculty mentors in more than 25 advanced degree programs on campuses in Hamden and North Haven, Connecticut.

Setting a standard of excellence: health sciences, medicine, and nursing
Quinnipiac’s programs in the health care fields have long been recognized for high standards and innovation. With the opening of the University’s Center for Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences on the North Haven Campus, Quinnipiac took the commitment to excellence to a new level, creating a state-of-the-art complex for programs in health sciences and nursing and opening the doors to the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine.

In this distinctive setting, students find rigorous programs, distinguished faculty—many of whom are practition-
ers and clinicians in their fields—and an extraordinary sense of professional purpose. Programs include cardiovascular perfusion, medical laboratory sciences, nursing, pathologists’ assistant, physician assistant, physical therapy, radiologist assistant, occupational therapy, molecular and cell biology (College of Arts and Sciences), and social work.

Programs are designed to prepare students at the highest levels for their chosen fields and build strong credentials for further advancement. The M.H.S. in Medical Laboratory Sciences and the M.S. in Molecular and Cell Biology, for example, prepare students for rewarding careers in laboratory research and also provide solid preparation for those planning to pursue Ph.D. or M.D. programs.

Professional study that leads the way: law, education, and business
Quinnipiac’s outstanding School of Law moved to the North Haven Campus in 2014, taking up residence in an impressive new Law Center. North Haven is also home to the School of Education, with stellar programs like the Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.), Sixth-Year Diploma in Educational Leadership, and M.S. in Teacher Leadership (online).

The M.A.T. program prepares students from almost any undergraduate major to be teachers in just five semesters of course work, student teaching, and an internship that offsets a substantial amount of tuition—a real benefit for students. The Sixth-Year Diploma in Educational Leadership prepares educators for rewarding roles as school administrators.

On the Hamden campus, the innovative M.B.A. program (on campus, online, and blended), offers students a strong foundation of knowledge with a focus on decision making. Students can choose the general M.B.A. or among three specialized tracks: chartered financial analyst®, supply chain management, and health care management.

Quinnipiac’s School of Business is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and also offers M.S. programs in business analytics and organizational leadership (both online), and the combined J.D./M.B.A. with the University’s School of Law.

Focus on communications: public relations, journalism, sports journalism, and interactive media
Students interested in graduate training in media and communications know they are in the right place the minute they step inside the University’s Communications Center: from the all-digital television studio and the News Tech Center to the video and audio editing suites and mobile tools, the resources are impressive.

Quinnipiac’s dynamic communications graduate programs—journalism, sports journalism, public relations, interactive media (online)—boast outstanding faculty with strong professional credentials as journalists and PR professionals, real-world internships, and a focus on professional networking.

The newest program, sports journalism, benefits from Quinnipiac’s great Northeast location, easily accessible to some of the country’s most dynamic sports media companies, along with learning opportunities covering Division I sports at one of New England’s best college venues, Quinnipiac’s TD Bank Sports Center.

All Quinnipiac graduate students join a supportive community with a collaborative, professional spirit. From international student services and career development to fitness facilities and lively social events, Quinnipiac offers a wide range of resources and knowledgeable staff ready to help graduate students make the most of their Quinnipiac experience.
