The University of Toledo has a tradition of excellence spanning back to its founding as the Toledo University of Arts and Trades in 1872. In the 140 years since then, UT has developed into a comprehensive research university often on the forefront in many different disciplines. From accounting to nursing to special education, the University of Toledo is developing leaders for the future of their respective fields of study.

A variety of programs
With more than 180 graduate and professional programs, The University of Toledo provides both a breadth and depth of knowledge that is unrivaled by many institutions across the country. UT is one of 20 public institutions nationwide that provide graduate and professional education in business, education, engineering, health sciences, law, medicine, natural sciences, nursing, and pharmacy. Programs are offered on campus, online, or both. We also offer a variety of graduate certificates in health care, business, and personal enrichment areas.

Each year about 800 new students choose to continue their education at The University of Toledo. With graduate students coming to UT from all over the world, our graduate programs provide the intersection of diverse perspectives so critical in future career settings.
