Abbey Road Summer Programs

Overview

Abbey Road conducts a number of summer programs in Europe designed to facilitate cross-cultural understanding and enrichment through cultural immersion, intensive language study, exposure to new academic subjects, travel opportunities and recreational pursuits. Pupils may study French in Aix-en-Provence, Antibes, Beaulieu, Cannes (which also features precollege work), Cassis and St-Laurent, France; Italian in Amalfi, Bologna (which also includes precollege work) and Florence, Italy; and Spanish in Cadiz and Sanlucar, Spain. A separate program enables boys and girls to travel from the Italian cities of Athens, Rome and Florence to a final destination of Paris, France. This cultural immersion program serves as a hands-on study of Western civilization. In addition to the European sessions, Abbey Road conducts a French-immersion program in Quebec, Canada, as well as two programs in the US for American students: a precollege enrichment and SAT preparation session in Boston, MA, and an environmental studies program in Santa Barbara, CA.
