American Farm School Greek Summer

Overview

Held on the campus of American Farm School, Greek Summer combines community service with instruction about Greek folk music, Greek cooking, beekeeping and ecological issues. Students complete a service project for the benefit of the local community while living with a host family in a small Greek village. During their time on campus, boys and girls assist with the daily operation of the school's dairy, poultry unit, vineyard, olive groves, greenhouses and vegetable gardens. Another aspect of the session enables participants to spend 1o days traveling and visiting historical sites throughout Greece.
