SLIS exposes rising high school seniors to different leadership styles and provides opportunities for students to develop leadership skills through community service. Participants study leadership and ethics during lectures and simulations, then join in service projects across Birmingham, working with children, the environment, the working poor and others in need. Students also sample college life during the session.
