Blue Bridge Project

Overview

BBP exposes high school students to global development issues through hands-on community service and post-trip reflection. Two programs operate in Nicaragua, one focusing on organic farming, the other combining service and surfing. A month-long session in Peru features Amazon exploration and conservation study, work with local elementary students, and sightseeing in Cusco and Machu Picchu. BBP's program in southeastern Madagascar enables boys and girls to participate in public health projects through three different initiatives while also creating and conducting a curriculum that teaches elementary school pupils about proper mosquito net usage.
