Conducted at Johnson State College and designed for the serious ballet student at an intermediate or advanced level, the program includes weekly performances and study with some of the country's finest master teachers. Pupils also learn basic backstage procedures and makeup techniques, as well as character and variations, in order to prepare for professional careers. All dancers perform weekly at the campus theater. Twenty students may participate in the Edinburgh Connection, a two-week program that features travel to Scotland with the director following four weeks of study at Burklyn.
