Mah-Kee-Nac maintains a particularly strong athletic program for boys of varying skill levels, with all sports directed by either high school or college coaches. In addition, campers may participate in such nonsporting activities such as art, wood shop, rocketry, camp radio and newspaper. Hiking, overnight camping and nature are other important aspects of camp life. Older campers embark on group trips to sites of interest in Maine, Massachusetts, New York and California.
