Camp Tawonga

 

Overview

Tawonga's weeklong session (for children entering grades 2-7) consists of arts and crafts, swimming, boating, sports, nature activities, visits to the animal farm and a day trip to Yosemite National Park. Two-week sessions (grades 3-9) feature a backpacking overnight in Yosemite or the Stanislaus National Forest and a day on the ropes course. Three-week programs (grades 5-10) include backpacking, a ropes course, dances, sports, drama, and arts and crafts. In addition, older campers choose from advanced offerings in arts and crafts, drama, self-defense, a cappella singing and dance. Jewish traditions and learning opportunities are part of the program.
