Easter Seals Camp Wawbeek

Overview

This recreational program for individuals with physical, cognitive, emotional and behavioral disabilities enables parents and caregivers to receive a break from caring for their loved one. Held on a 400-acre, wooded site, Wawbeek features sports, arts and crafts, trail rides, nature hikes, singing, storytelling, campfires and many other traditional recreational pursuits. A one-to-one camper to counselor ratio enables staff to assist with activities and address the specific needs of the camper. A separate session serves teens and young adults with Asperger's syndrome or high-functioning autism.
