These weeklong seminars introduce high school students to introductory economic principles while relating those concepts to everyday life. Participants study the fundamentals of economics, as well as the early history and the growth of government in the United States. Topics of discussion include an introduction to free trade, money and inflation, and property rights. All successful applicants attend the session on full scholarship, with housing, meals, lectures and class materials covered.
