Lake Forest Academy English as a Second Language Summer Program

Overview

Conducted on the 165-acre LFA campus, this intensive ESL program prepares international boys and girls for academic and social life integration into independent boarding school. Each student takes an entry exam to determine class placement in one of five program levels (ranging from beginning to advanced). Courses in grammar, reading and writing, and speaking and listening are complemented by such afternoon and weekend activities as sports and field trips. Students receive midterm/final grades, comments, and a certificate of attendance.
