Leysin American School—Summer in Switzerland

Overview

Over the summer, LAS offers academic courses for enrichment and credit, recreational activities and cultural excursions. Serving children ages 8-12, SIS Alpine Adventure combines morning classes with group activities in the afternoon. The two-week sessions also include weekend half- and full-day excursions to cultural and recreational sites in nearby Swiss cities. Students in the three-week Alpine Exploration (ages 13-15) and Alpine Challenge (ages 16-18) programs follow a similar schedule of morning classes and afternoon activities; boys and girls may follow the core program or a specialized study of French immersion or ESL. Optional two-day hikes are conducted twice each session for interested students. A three-week theater program is also available for campers ages 13-18.
