Litchfield Jazz Camp

 

Overview

Boys and girls of all ability levels study with an internationally recognized faculty of jazz musicians at the camp. Students perform in combos at the appropriate skill level, both at the school and on the Jazz Festival stage. Faculty guide students through classes in performance, improvisation, jazz history, rhythm and percussion, music theory, composition, recording and the business of music, among others. Instructors teach voice, piano, guitar, bass, drums, Latin rhythms, saxophones, clarinet, flute, trumpet, trombone and violin. Private instruction is available for an additional fee.
