Maine Summer Youth Music



Conducted by the University of Maine's School of Performing Arts, MSYM is primarily a large-ensemble camp that provides opportunities in symphonic band, concert band, jazz band, orchestra, chorus and musical theater. Other classes address improvisation, music history, theory, music literature, opera, chamber music and careers in music. The junior camp accepts children entering grades 6-8, while the senior camp serves boys and girls entering grades 9-12. Recreation and evening activities round out the program.
