Participants in MICA's intensive, four-week program earn three college credits for completion of a core class and a workshop. Students choose from 11 core classes and 12 workshops in such disciplines as figure painting, graphic design, sculpture, black and white photography, digital photography, 3-D gaming and animation, illustration, fiber, architecture and video. Enrollment in a class entitled critical methods of studying art completed the academic experience. Field trips to Washington, DC, and New York City to explore contemporary art and noteworthy historical pieces at galleries and museums enrich the program.
