African-American, Hispanic and Native American students preview college life while learning about engineering careers and the demands faced by professional engineers. Participants devote mornings listening to lectures on various engineering disciplines, then gain practical engineering experience during afternoon lab and industry visits. Orientation sessions address admissions procedures and requirements, scholarships and financial aid. Recreational and social activities, which include sports, bowling, dances and picnics, enable boys and girls to interact with current Missouri S&T undergraduates.
