San Francisco Art Institute PreCollege Program

Designed for aspiring artists who have completed grade 10 but have not yet started college, this credit-bearing program provides a preview of art school life as it exposes students to the broad range of techniques, concepts and debates that constitute the contemporary art scene. Programming combines interdisciplinary thinking with studio practice. In addition to a required art history seminary, boys and girls select two core studio courses (each of which meets for three hours per day) that replicate an introductory course of study and offer an experience comparable to that of first-year bachelor of fine arts pupils at SFAI.
