School of Visual Arts Summer Pre-College Program

The Pre-College Summer Program mimics a fast-paced foundation year experience in the New York art scene. Pre-College students are immersed in their chosen field of study through lectures on art history, theory, and the use of media and material. The program is further enhanced with a comprehensive list of supervised activities that takes full advantage of the social and cultural life of New York City. Participants must have a serious attitude toward making artwork as their primary focus during the program. The summer program is open to all students who will be enrolled in high school. Students will receive three college credits for the successful completion of the summer program.
