St. Albans School School of Public Service

Rising high school seniors who have demonstrated a high level of academic achievement, a strong interest in public policy issues, and a commitment to school involvement or community service learn about the nature of public service and the roles of government, private and nonprofit organizations, and citizens in the American democratic system. SPS course work combines in-depth discussions, research, case studies, guest speakers and field trips to institutions in the Washington area (including the White House, the Supreme Court and Congress). Students develop analytical and self-expression skills during the month-long course.
