St. Stephen's School Summer Programs

Overview

St. Stephen's conducts two summer programs for young English-speaking students each summer. Open to pupils ages 13-16, the Arts & Humanities Program employs St. Stephen's faculty and local teachers. The Brown University-St. Stephen's School Pre-College Summer Program, taught by instructors from both institutions, serves boys and girls ages 16-18. Participants in both programs enroll in a language course (either Italian or Latin); a core course that focuses on ancient Rome, Renaissance art or modern Italy; and an elective such as digital photography, drawing or Italian cooking. Staff members schedule afternoon recreational activities and evening cultural events in the city. Weekends provide the opportunity for excursions to such locations as Pompeii, Sorrento, Siena and Florence.
