Syracuse University Summer College for High School Students

Overview

Summer College's six-week programs enable high schoolers to explore academic and career interests while earning college credit. Students enrolling in the liberal arts program choose two courses from Syracuse's undergraduate humanities and social sciences offerings. Preprofessional programs in engineering and computer science, law and public communications require one specialized course plus one complementary elective, and studio/lab programs in acting and musical theater, architecture, fashion design, interior design and forensic science combine course work with substantial studio or laboratory time. Summer College also offers two-week noncredit programs in studio arts, interior design and management, as well as a two-week education program with both credit and noncredit options. Field trips and guest lecturers enrich the curriculum, and staff schedule various weekend activities.
