SMI participants cover the equivalent of a year's worth of math material in one class during their three weeks at the academy. Students attend class for six hours on weekdays and three hours on Saturdays, and they must also attend a supervised study/tutorial session for an hour each Monday through Friday evening. At the end of the program, faculty formulate a final performance report for the pupil's school and his or her parents.
