The Experiment in International Living

 

Overview

EIL conducts summer abroad programs in Argentina, Botswana, Brazil, China, Costa Rica, Ecuador, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Mongolia, Morocco, Nicaragua and Cuba, Peru, South Africa, Spain, Tanzania and Thailand.. All programs include home stay with a local host family and a cross-cultural orientation component. Depending on the program chosen, travel, language study, community service, peace studies, the arts or ecology may be featured. Emphasis throughout is on in-depth immersion into a foreign culture. Prior language training is a prerequisite for certain programs.
