Thomas Aquinas College Summer Great Books Program

Exceptionally talented students from around the country spend two weeks at Thomas Aquinas College reading and discussing works from such figures as Plato, Euclid, Sophocles, Pascal, Boethius and St. Thomas Aquinas with college faculty. During the first week of the program, boys and girls ponder questions of moral, political and religious authority, then consider the relationship between faith and reason. The second and final week begins with a Shakespearean examination of the imperfection and corruption of man, progresses to a discussion of Euclidean geometry and concludes with readings designed to spur further consideration of key issues of the session. Organized recreation and off-campus excursions balance academics.
