University College Dublin Summer High School Program

Rising high school juniors and seniors sample university life abroad while studying various aspects of Ireland's culture and history in this UCD program. A four-part lecture series provides a thorough examination of Irish history. In addition, students explore an array of other topics related to Ireland, among them literature, religion, architecture, emigration, art, music and the Irish language. Interactive workshops and social activities include Ceili dancing, an introduction to Gaelic football and hurling, and a photography competition. Field trips to local sites of interest complete the program.
