SEA serves as a weeklong investigation into engineering careers. Classroom sessions with university professors address topics ranging from the fundamentals of aerodynamics to materials used in engineering. Working in teams, students design aerodynamic cars and devices, then test their models in a specially built wind tunnel. During the program, participants learn to use three-dimensional computer-aided design software. The first session hosts rising freshmen and sophomores, while the second and third sessions enroll rising juniors and seniors.
