Overview

Arete: An Introduction to the Classics provides an enriching educational experience through the introduction of the University of Dallas' nationally recognized Core Curriculum. Students will initiate their journey to freedom by exploring the essential texts of Western Civilization and reflecting on works of fine art, film, and music. The program features field trips to the Dallas Arts District, Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth, Modern in Fort Worth, and a performance at Shakespeare in the Park in Dallas.
