Although students of all backgrounds may apply, this program for high school upperclassmen seeks to facilitate increased participation of African-American, Latino and Native American youth in engineering and other science professions. Course work, which is conducted in a demanding academic setting, consists of accelerated enrichment classes in math, science, English and engineering. Personal/professional development workshops, college selection advice, and information on engineering and other science professions complement academics. Participants should plan on attending all four weeks of the program; students go home each weekend.
