University of Michigan Michigan Math and Science Scholars



In classes of 15 students, MMSS exposes high schoolers to current developments and research in the sciences in a college setting. Each session features such course selections as astronomy; chemistry; ecology and evolutionary biology; geology; math, molecular, cellular and developmental biology; physics; environmental studies; and statistics. Students conduct research, work in computer labs and engage in fieldwork with their professors. Boys and girls take one course per session and may attend one or both two-week sessions.
