The university's summer precollege engineering offerings include the Summer Enrichment Program at the Michigan Engineering Zone, Michigan Introduction to Technology and Engineering (for rising sophomores and juniors) and the Summer College Engineering Exposure Program (for rising seniors). SEP at MEZ is a commuter program educating rising eighth and ninth graders about applied engineering. MITE classes address math, engineering concepts, communication skills and study skills, while guidance workshops focus on college admissions and financial aid. SCEEP exposes students to various engineering departments and covers the skills required as one transitions from high school to college.
