Students enrolled in the Science and Mathematics Achievement through Research Training summer institute take part in an interdisciplinary program that includes modules in biotechnology and nanotechnology, space science, and marine and environmental science. Boys and girls engage in advanced study through lectures, demonstrations, hands-on laboratory experiences, and field trips to museums and private laboratories, while also acquiring research skills through work with faculty and graduate students. During the session, pupils apply math and computer principles to science.
