University of Pennsylvania Penn Summer Science Academies

This intensive, noncredit science program comprises guided laboratory projects, seminars, faculty lectures, discussion groups, problem-solving sessions and field trips. University of Pennsylvania scientists and students provide all instruction. Participants choose a concentration in experimental physics or biomedical research, and the Monday through Friday programming varies according to the pupil’s chosen concentration. Although some local day students attend PSSA, most boys and girls elect to board at the university.
