Wisconsin Center for Academically Talented Youth Summer Programs

WCATY conducts summer programs for advanced students at the elementary, middle and high school levels. The weeklong Young Students Summer Program, held at Beloit College and serving children in grades 4-6, combines enrichment courses with an exposure to new disciplines. Students in grades 7 and 8 may enroll in the Summer Transitional Enrichment Program, which enables pupils to take one two-week course for enrichment or acceleration. The Accelerated Learning Program (grades 9-12) consists of an intensive three-week course for each student. ALP courses are equivalent to an honors-level high school class or a semester-long college course.
