WLC offers separate camping sessions for children with visual, hearing or mild cognitive disabilities, and children with diabetes. All programs are offered free of charge to Wisconsin residents; nonresidents are admitted on a space-available basis after the deadline and pay a minimal fee. Typical camp activities include swimming, canoeing, sailing, boating, kayaking, fishing, archery, crafts, nature programs, sports and games. Older campers take canoeing and backpacking trips.
