Wyoming Seminary English as a Second Language Institute

The ESL Institute provides an introduction to boarding school life for students who have had some exposure to the English language. Wyoming Seminary groups boys and girls by ability level in a program that addresses listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Advanced students read short stories and novels, then write objective, critical essays. Activities include sports, fine arts courses and performing arts ensembles. Dances, movies, and day trips to historic and metropolitan areas enrich the weekend schedule. Participants enrolled in the second session may continue on for a fifth week in August that features a four-night experiential camping trip through Maine.
