Each month, CollegeXpress highlights upcoming awards and contests as part of “Scholarship Saturday” to help make your search a little easier. Check out the featured awards below, and be sure to apply if you’re eligible. Good luck!

Upcoming Deadlines:

$2,500 Scholarship: STEM Works For Me
Deadline: May 2
Intro: Only 15% of the scientists and engineers in the US are women, and only 20% are Black, Hispanic, or Native American. According to this study from nonprofit 100Kin10, STEM education has largely prioritized the work of white men, while minimizing, omitting, or perpetuating harmful stereotypes about the knowledge and contributions of STEM leaders of color. Students from communities underrepresented in STEM careers may be unaware of STEM career opportunities beyond the basics, and they often don’t “see” themselves represented in the field, making them feel like they don’t belong. Take our quiz to figure out what STEM careers best suit you based on your interests and personalities! Be sure to share your findings with your friend(s) to activate them to find their dream STEM career too! You’ll be entered for the opportunity to win a $2,500 scholarship.

CollegeXpress has helped me in many ways. For one, online searches are more organized and refined by filtering scholarships through by my personal and academic interests. Due to this, it has made searching for colleges and scholarships significantly less stressful. As a student, life can already get stressful pretty quickly. For me, it’s been helpful to utilize CollegeXpress since it keeps all of my searches and likes together, so I don’t have to branch out on multiple websites just to explore scholarship options.

To say that CollegeXpress is a helpful tool would be an understatement as it is much more than that. Before finding CollegeXpress, all I knew was that I wanted to go to college, it was going to be insanely expensive, and I felt lost. CollegeXpress has given me access to resources such as helpful tips for applications and scholarship [opportunities], and helped guide me in a direction where I feel confident moving forward and pursuing a career. CollegeXpress has helped instill a spark in me that makes me want to continue and supports me in doing so.

It's an honor for me to be writing to share a little about my experience with CollegeXpress. I've been using CollegeXpress for about a year now, and the reason why I chose it is because it provides astonishing scholarships for every student around the globe. Besides that, this organization dispenses all the information necessary to help students get to college. CollegeXpress has helped me have an easier experience with applying to colleges and choosing the best fit for myself.
