Setting goals doesn’t just have to be for New Year’s! You can set goals anytime of the year, but you should especially think about setting some at the beginning of the school year. Student vlogger Gianna is currently working on setting and achieving her goals and wants to share how you can do the same. Check out the video below!
Long-term goals
Before you can create a plan for your goals, you need to set those goals. Do this by thinking about where you want to be and what you want to do in the future. Once you have that idea (or dream), you can outline a plan for your future. Question what classes and fields interest you. Find your interests and take classes that are related to those interests so you can discover what you want to continue working toward.
Short-term goals
Strive for good grades, participate in class, do your homework, and push yourself to be the best you can be. If you got a B or lower in a class in the past, strive for that A. If you’re playing a sport or do extracurricular activities, work on your time management skills so you can do well in school and have time to practice.

It’s great to have big dreams, but make sure to also have realistic steps that can get you to that dream, and remember not everything is going to go according to plan. You will hit bumps in the road, but don’t let that stop you from getting where you want to be.
