Experience that applies to the real world
One hundred percent of graduates are guaranteed hands-on experience before graduation in the form of an internship, research, or off-campus study domestically or abroad. Each student’s experience is carefully selected through collaboration with his or her faculty advisor. For some students this means interning at the Mayo Clinic or Corning, Inc.; for others it means doing National Science Foundation–funded research on campus with a faculty member. Coe is one of only a few small schools in the country to serve as a host site for the National Science Foundation’s Research Experiences for Undergraduates program. These experiences, along with Coe’s location and individual attention, are just a few of the reasons why Coe’s graduates find success after graduation. For many years nearly 100% of reporting graduates have been employed or in graduate school within one year of graduation.
The Coe community
The right living environment is essential to providing a superior educational experience. Coe College is a dedicated residential campus with nearly 100% of its students living in an on-campus residence hall or apartment. Because everyone lives here, everything happens here! With more than 70% of time in college spent outside of the classroom, participation in clubs and athletics and attending cultural events is a very important part of the overall college experience.
