DSU offers a unique blend of past, present, and future.

Walk through our 356-acre campus and you’ll see centuries-old buildings. At the same time, you’ll find some of the country’s most skilled researchers discovering new innovations in the fields of medicine, military defense, agriculture and much more. DSU currently offers 44 undergraduate degree options, an impressive number for a school our size. We welcome students from a variety of backgrounds. Our current enrollment stands at 5,054, 91% of whom are undergraduate students. Our ratio of male to female students is 33:67, and 82% of our freshmen live on campus in one of our eight residence halls. DSU’s main campus is in the historic city of Dover, the capital of Delaware. Arguably one of the best-kept secrets on the East Coast, Dover provides a small-town feel for students who want to learn without the distractions of an urban campus. Yet, we’re only 1.5 hours away from major cities, including Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington, DC, and a short drive to popular Rehoboth and Ocean City beaches. Our students truly enjoy the best of both worlds.

Delaware State University is ranked among the nation’s premier Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

The University is recognized by the Arbor Day Foundation as a Tree Campus USA and Cosmopolitan Magazine among the 50 most beautiful US college campuses.
