Undergrad Diversity Transfer Business Education

In the business of doing business better

We're here to work
Bloomsburg University was founded on the belief that opportunity is created by those determined to achieve more. And because our grads make a difference from their first day on the job, employers put a high value on a Bloom degree—and the person who earned it.

Founded in 1839, Bloomsburg was built on the vision that higher education should be available to anyone who is ready to work for a better life. Today that tradition continues, with limitless opportunities for our students across the Commonwealth and beyond. Bloomsburg University is an inclusive comprehensive public university that prepares students for personal and professional success in an increasingly complex global environment.

Preparing students for success in a complex world
Resources for academic excellence: As the largest comprehensive university in Northeastern and Northcentral Pennsylvania, BU offers 57 undergraduate degree programs with more than 68 minors and 30 graduate degree programs, along with the experiences and technology to give students the best possible preparation for careers in their field.

Connections to careers and the world: An alumni base of more than 72,000 enables students to network throughout eastern US and beyond. Students also have opportunities to study abroad in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas.

Environment for service and engagement: More than 250 student clubs and organizations—ranging from community service to the arts and business to entertainment—give students the opportunity to develop their leadership skills and creativity as well as grow both professionally and personally. Students are actively involved within the community with more than 73,000 hours dedicated to volunteerism each year.

Location

Welcome to Bloomsburg, the only ‘town’ in Pennsylvania and the home of Bloomsburg University–where small-town charm bumps right into big city opportunities.

Just a short walk from campus you’ll be in downtown Bloomsburg and on historic Main Street. That’s where you’ll find a variety of boutique shops, galleries, eateries, and office buildings as well as the Town Hall, County Courthouse, Public Library, and US Post Office. And don’t forget to visit the 44,700-square-foot Greenly Center, home of the Office of Corporate and Continuing Education, the Bloomsburg University Foundation, and the Sekisui Professional Experience Lab.

Need to get away from the hustle and bustle of campus, head down to the Town Park and enjoy some time relaxing by the river. Looking for a professional live theatre, the Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble has you covered. Or maybe you’re into fairs and carnivals like the annual Renaissance Jamboree and, of course, the famous Bloomsburg Fair, the largest fair in Pennsylvania.

  • “Some of the best parts of my experience here were connecting with specific professors and an advisor who care for the future of students, and not just themselves. I learned more life skills and traits, such as learning to ask for help and maximizing my daily time. I have a full journey ahead of me in fulfilling my destiny in becoming a medical doctor.”

    • Leslie Mensah '22
      Pre-med Biology
  • “When I toured my senior year of high school, I fell in love with the campus, the people, and everything it had to offer. Four years later, I’ve felt at home and could never picture myself anywhere else. I’ve grown so much compared to my first day as a freshman. I’m very thankful to have grown into a strong and confident woman. I’ve made some lifelong friends here I’ll miss dearly. You do truly meet your people in college, and I’m grateful for every single person who’s come into my life at Bloomsburg.”
