Creativity is a part of who we are at Mount Mary University. A big part.
Students, faculty, and staff form a close-knit community where everyone is eager to collaborate and innovate by taking risks with new ideas, working together through complexities, finding solutions instead of solving problems, and keeping an open mind about what’s to come in the future. This cooperative and inventive environment will help you strengthen your critical-thinking and leadership skills and position you as a leader at the forefront of a competitive marketplace.
At Mount Mary you can choose from more than 30 undergraduate programs and nine graduate programs. Mount Mary’s focus on teaching students to think creatively enhances your leadership ability and leads to greater success in the workplace. When you graduate, you’ll have the confidence and open mind to imagine and experiment with innovative ideas that push your organizations—and yourself—to the top of your field.
Nearly 20% of Mount Mary students study abroad for a summer, a semester, a year, or over a break. You can travel to places such as Nicaragua, Italy, Paris, Spain, Nova Scotia, Japan, and more. We’ll even work with you to make sure your international travels add to your program of study in as many ways as possible—without delaying your graduation plans.
From independent research projects to service learning to internships, Mount Mary offers plenty of opportunities for you to engage with your education. Test the boundaries of your comfort zone and study fashion among Parisians. Learn about poverty and community action first-hand in the Leadership for Social Justice Seminar. Intern at a Milwaukee hospital to solidify your dietetics knowledge.
With more than 30 clubs and organizations and numerous events and programs like Waffle Wednesdays, karaoke, the international fashion show, the multicultural fair, spring formal, and fall festival, there’s never a lack of something to do at Mount Mary. The surrounding neighborhood is full of engaging things too. The Wauwatosa community offers parks, coffeehouses, Mayfair Mall, and plenty of local shops and restaurants. And if you’d like to venture downtown, Milwaukee offers museums, public markets, Lake Michigan shoreline, baseball games at Miller Park, and much more.
All full-time first-year students receive an academic scholarship that can cover up to the full cost of tuition. Mount Mary offers numerous scholarships and financial aid opportunities to help you afford your education.
