The Cazenovia Commitment

Cazenovia College is committed to making our community-focused institution accessible to all qualified students who are seeking a student-centered learning environment along with boundless opportunities to achieve their educational and career goals.

You’ll receive a scholarship ranging from $22,000–$31,000
Our Commitment starts with affordability. Accepted first-year students receive merit scholarships ranging from $22,000–$31,000 ($15,000-$22,000 for transfer students). Our scholarships are available to all accepted students, regardless of family income or state of residence. And there are no strings attached! There's no risk that your scholarship will be converted to a loan, and there are no post-graduation residency restriction—we encourage our students to become citizens of the world.

Here, you receive affordability
You will continue to receive the scholarship each year while making satisfactory progress toward your degree as a full-time student. Many Cazenovia College students also receive state and federal financial aid, which when combined with merit scholarships, lowers the actual cost of attendance on average by over 60% or less than $20,000 per year, including tuition, room, board, and fees.

You'll receive a personalized, student-centered education
The average class size at Cazenovia is 13 students, and all classes are taught by engaged faculty, not teaching assistants. Our 10:1 student-faculty ratio allows our students more opportunity to interact with faculty and participate in learning activities.

Complete a sought-after internship
At Cazenovia, 95% of our students complete at least one internship. Through these internships, students build the workplace experience employers seek in job applicants.

Our commitment to career success
Providing you with a quality academic experience that leads to career success is our primary mission. Career Services uses a supportive, person-centered approach to provide comprehensive services within a collaborative network of faculty, staff, employers, alumni, parents, and guardians. In addition to career counseling and mentoring, First Year to Career includes an individualized four-year career plan, allowing students to complete a variety of activities to help them consider their career values and options. From the time you step on campus until you graduate, you’ll receive career counseling and mentoring from faculty, staff, and alumni. Our career counseling leads to career readiness—the true value of a college education. In fact, 93% of recent graduates were employed or in grad school within six months.

Study abroad for a life-changing experience
As a Cazenovia student, you'll have the opportunity to study abroad for a full semester or during semester breaks, and most of our international programs are led by College faculty.

Athletics and equestrian teams
Our athletic programs provide opportunities for students to participate in intercollegiate competition on one of our 16 NCAA Division III men's and women's teams, eSports, or our nationally-ranked IHSA and IDA equestrian team as well as offering several club and intramural sport offerings.

Equine Business Management
The Equine Business Management program of the Bachelor of Professional Studies degree in Management is designed for students interested in the organizational, managerial, and commercial aspects of the equine industry, as well as students interested in advanced performance horse care, equine reproduction, instruction, and stable management.

The combination of business management courses with equine science and equine business courses provides students with the skills necessary to pursue either a hands-on or support sector position in the equine industry, pursue a career in business or to pursue an advanced degree.
• The combination of Business and Equine courses teach skills employers desire for careers in both the support sector of the industry as well as in hands on equine careers.
• The College’s Equine Education Center features 70+ stalls and large heated indoor ring.
• Students have multiple opportunities for internships.
