Founded as a competitive swimming camp, Ak-O-Mak now offers a combination of athletic instruction and traditional summer camping activities. Special sports sessions address competitive flat-water canoeing and kayaking, as well as competitive swimming. Campers may swim up to three times daily, individually and in groups, with instruction focusing on stroke enhancement, race planning and strategy, and mental preparation.
